Recipes for At-Home Spa Treatments

Recipes for At-Home Spa Treatments

We, of course, would love for everyone to visit a spa salon as often as possible, but that's not always possible. This post is written especially for busy girls, and perhaps men, who would like to experience the spa effect at home. All the recipes have been personally tested by us, and we highly recommend them.

Hydration

Mix one tablespoon of cooked oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of regular-fat yogurt, and two tablespoons of warmed honey (make sure you're not allergic to honey!) to create an ultra-hydrating mask for the face, neck, and décolletage. Apply to the skin, leave on for 30 minutes, and then rinse off with warm water. Don't have oatmeal on hand? Mix two spoons of yogurt with one spoon of warmed honey.

For Oily Skin

Mix half a banana with one tablespoon of honey (again, watch out for allergies). Add a few drops of lemon or grapefruit juice to the mixture. Apply to the skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Body Scrub

In the morning, after you drink your coffee, don't throw away the grounds. Let them cool, then mix them with a glass of sugar and 50 grams of olive oil. Use it just like any other scrub while showering.

For Hair

Warm some olive oil in a small bowl. Be sure it's not too hot. Massage the warmed oil into your scalp and spread it through your hair. Leave it on for 3 minutes. Then wash it out with shampoo until your hair squeaks clean. The result? Super shiny, smooth hair.

For Dark Hair

For shine and richer color, rinse your hair with strong coffee.

Beach-Wave Hair

Add one tablespoon of sea salt to a glass of warm water, stir until the salt crystals dissolve, and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Spray onto slightly dry hair, scrunch it with your hands to shape it, and let it air-dry without using a hair dryer. The result will be tousled, voluminous, wavy hair.
