A few days ago, our salon received a very unexpected—and very pleasant—email. No, we receive thank-you notes from customers all the time, but this is the first time a customer has written an entire article giving a tour of our salon!
Unfortunately, the writer wished to keep her real name private, but she did give permission to publish her letter-article on our blog.
"Is it possible to relax your mind and body in just two hours enough to release the tension that has built up over an entire week? To find out, I went to a spa.
The first thing that delighted all my senses when I stepped over the threshold of the Thai massage salon was the atmosphere of the salon itself.
In the treatment area, separated from the rest of the salon, a soft twilight reigned; pleasant music played softly in the background, and the air was warm, humid, and fragrant, just like in the tropics. The first step in relaxation was a gentle cleansing full-body massage.
I lie down on the massage table, feeling relaxed. The therapist takes out cosmetic products with the delicious scents of vanilla and fruit caramel and slowly rubs me with the fragrant mixture. This is a body scrub. Combined with a massage down to the very tips of my fingers, it gives a stunning sensation of soothing tenderness. And most importantly: extracts rich in antioxidants rejuvenate the skin, draw toxins out of it, moisturize, smooth, and nourish. After the shower, I lie down again—now a body wrap awaits me.
Under the therapist’s hands, a body mask with an equally wonderful scent is spread over my body, then I’m covered with plastic wrap and a thermal blanket. Body wraps can also be done with other natural ingredients: clay, rare plant extracts, olive oil, cocoa, or seaweed with honey. My face doesn’t get overlooked either: a light massage with a moisturizing mask—just what I needed for complete bliss. Twenty minutes fly by in an instant. I’m somewhere between sleep and wakefulness, my body seems to be floating on clouds.
Next, delicious green tea and a fresh start.
After the treatments, my skin feels firm, hydrated, and soft to the touch, like satin, while my soul sings with contentment. And, most surprisingly, this effect lasts for several days.
It turns out that to feel practically in paradise, you don’t need much time or money. You don’t have to leave your favorite city or sacrifice your free days from your work schedule.
You can simply visit a spa. And leave feeling refreshed, joyful, and beautiful.
P.S. I’d like to extend a special thank you to the management and staff of the Royal Thai Spa Thai massage salon. Ladies, you gave me true bliss that day. May there be more days like this in everyone’s life!"
