Foam massage (part 2)

In the previous article (read more…), we explained the essence of this massage and its main benefits. In this article, we will focus mainly on contraindications and the stages of the procedure.

The main effect of foam massage is, of course, the enjoyment of the process itself — the opportunity to forget about problems and immerse yourself in your own sensations. It improves mood and helps restore the body’s inner energy.

Who This Procedure Is Not Suitable For

Since foam massage involves warming the body and preparation includes a steam bath, there are certain contraindications. A medical consultation is recommended before the session, especially for people with chronic conditions.

Foam massage should be performed with caution in the following cases:

Stages of the Procedure

The full session lasts about one hour and usually includes the following steps:

  1. The body is first warmed in the Hammam steam room for 5–7 minutes to open the pores.
  2. The client then lies on a massage table, and the skin is scrubbed with a special mitt or glove to remove the upper layer of dead skin cells.
  3. Next, the body is generously covered with thick foam, and the massage itself is performed.
  4. The session ends with 10–15 minutes of rest in a relaxation room, where herbal tea is offered.

The procedure may be accompanied by soothing music and burning incense. This adds not only a cosmetic effect but also a sense of spiritual and aesthetic relaxation.

Foam massage is a SPA treatment that not only helps improve skin condition and body shape but also promotes deep relaxation, stress relief, and overall well-being.
